Hot FM Cipta Rekod Bersiaran Langsung Dari Dasar Laut

Hot FM makes history with Malaysia’s deepest live radio broadcast, reaching 31.9M views and 10.4M TikTok Live reach — a dominant digital milestone for MPA.

Hot FM, under Media Prima Audio (MPA), has once again made waves in the Malaysian broadcasting industry with a record-breaking live radio event that pushed creative and technical boundaries to new depths.

Through its popular morning show, Bekpes Hot, the station achieved a historic milestone by successfully conducting Malaysia’s deepest live radio broadcast at sea as part of the Bekpes Hot Skuba campaign, held at Pulau Bidong, Terengganu.

Recognized by ASEAN Records, this extraordinary feat was officially certified as the First and Deepest Underwater Open-Sea Live Radio Broadcast by Radio Personalities, taking place 10 meters below sea level for 90 minutes.

An Unforgettable Digital Triumph

The campaign achieved remarkable digital success, demonstrating Hot FM’s strong presence as a dominant digital audio broadcaster in Malaysia’s media landscape.

Key Performance Highlights:

  • Total Views: 31,922,280
  • Total Engagements: 821,583
  • TikTok Live Reach: 10.4 million

These outstanding results underscore Hot FM’s commitment to delivering impactful content that bridges traditional radio advertising with cutting-edge digital engagement, solidifying its reputation as one of Malaysia’s most innovative radio advertising agencies.

A Bold Broadcast Beyond Boundaries

The live underwater broadcast featured Bekpes Hot hosts — KJ, Johan, Fara Fauzana, and AG — who conducted the show while scuba diving beneath the waves. The mission was supported by divers from the Marine Research Station, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), the UMT Diving School, and the Special Action Unit (UTK) of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM).

This follows Hot FM’s previous record-setting feat, Bekpes Hot Tawan Puncak Kinabalu, which earned recognition from the Malaysia Book of Records for the Longest Non-Stop Radio Broadcast on Mount Kinabalu.

Innovation at the Core of Hot FM

According to Raja Khairil Idris Raja Aznan, Senior Content Director of Hot FM, this campaign reflects the station’s core values of innovation, courage, and creativity.

“After conquering Mount Kinabalu, we wanted to challenge ourselves even further. This time, we brought radio into the world beneath the sea — a symbol of how Hot FM continues to innovate and stay relevant while connecting with listeners in new, exciting ways,” he said.

Collaboration and Recognition

Associate Professor Dr. Hasrizal Shaari, Program Director at UMT, described the collaboration as a significant acknowledgment of UMT’s marine expertise while showcasing Pulau Bidong’s potential as a marine research and eco-tourism destination.

The event also made history across 10 Asian countries, marking the first-ever live radio broadcast from the ocean floor in Asia. To commemorate the achievement, Hot FM installed a microphone-shaped monument and a mini underwater studio, symbolizing both success and a commitment to marine ecosystem preservation.

ASEAN Records Executive Director, Eldrick Koh, presented the official recognition certificate to the Bekpes Hot team and MPA Network Director, Shah Hayatudin, commending the technical precision and endurance required to execute a flawless live broadcast underwater.

Redefining Radio and Digital Dominance

With this historic accomplishment, Hot FM continues to lead the industry as a dominant digital audio broadcaster, seamlessly merging entertainment, innovation, and technology.

As part of Media Prima Audio’s dominance digital ecosystem, Hot FM demonstrates how radio advertising continues to evolve beyond the airwaves — delivering powerful, creative campaigns that engage audiences across multiple platforms and drive measurable impact.
